I have been taking Cymbalta for over five years for the treatment of fibromyalgia. The doctor felt that it would lessen the pain and would assist in my gaining more rest.
Unfortunately, I have had a number of serious side effects –balance issues, onset of migraines, accidents that did not make sense, palpations that were unexplainable, etc.
In June 2011, I decided that I wanted to clear my body of Cymbalta after I learned of all of the side effects, which included those listed above. I also learned that it is the most challenging drug to come off, and it has side effects to endure coming off the medication.
I want to share this because I have been cleaning my system out for five months now and unfortunately, had a migraine for the first time in a year. The doctor felt that my system was still clearing out the drug and by January 2012 that should be accomplished. But with the migraine in its third day with no relief even with migraine medication, Tylenol with codeine, and almost constant sleep, I made the best call possible. I called my chiropractor, Dr. Taylor.
I was experiencing pain in the lower left side of the back of my skull/neck area. There are a group of nerves there that swell, the pain travels up my head, down my face, and the left side of my face to tingle. I suffer numbness from the jaw area up to and around my left eye. Dr. Taylor did an adjustment, aromatherapy, and laser therapy on me (God bless her knowledge & skills) . By the time the laser therapy was completed, I began to feel relief. Dr. Taylor adjusted me again. It was uncomfortable at first but I felt much better later. She asked that I apply ice for 15 minutes every hour once I got home. I went home feeling like a human being again.
I went back for a second treatment the following Thursday with my personality intact and looking forward to therapy. I had the knowledge that my migraines were treatable by Dr. Taylor. This is awesome news.
I have never liked medications and the side effects to me are worse than the cure. Now I have a natural way to rid my body of migraines without pumping it full of medications that never seem to work as I am told they will and that make me feel tired for days.
If you have migraines, my suggestion and request to you is to see Dr. Taylor first. Don’t go the long way around as I have done and spend days in pain as well as losing three days of living life to its fullest.
Chiropractic care has helped me be healthier in so many ways and now I have added one more. I need to go to Dr. Taylor first before I go anywhere else for treatment to save my body and mind healing time and major discomfort.

I am a local massage therapist and I frequently recommend Dr. Taylor to my clients. She has been my family's chiropractor for many years. My son was having an issue
where his legs would go weak and he would fall to the floor. Dr. Taylor figured out that his backpack was too heavy and causing his lower back to give out. The school wanted us to see a neurologist but working with Dr. Taylor and with her help to get special permission to have a rolling backpack at school he never had any more incidents. She is always my first call when I get sinus headaches. I frequently call her for help when I need a natural remedy for an ailment. She is a wealth of information!
